I commented on this already a while ago, but I had to come back to it and tell you how close this image is to one of Gallen Rowell's in his book sierra light. Obviously I'm sure you know this, but your work is the closest I have seen resembling the style of Gallen. I kept looking through the book thinking perhaps you two split the publications. Anyways, just thought I'd let ya know hah.

Yea its very similar. I literally spent and entire month going here every morning to try and get some different light with some clouds than galens but it never really happened how I had hoped. Ive got high hopes for this year :)

This compliment means alot to me. Thank you! He was and still is one of my biggest influences as a landscape photographer. I just hope that one day i can receive the same notoriety that his name has.

What you just wrote goes to show how dedicated you are to photography just like he was. I'm sure you can get to that status fairly quickly with the way your images appear now. It's just a matter of marketing them, which is something I need to start looking into haha.

ugh I know marketing is a pain. I feel more than anything I need to get a contest win under my belt but I keep getting boned as far as that goes. Just keep posting and shooting photos and hopefully it will all come along :)

I'm on the same boat haha. Id like to win the Arizona highways contest I entered but that thing takes forever to end. Outdoor photographer is always a bust for me, at least you got an honorable mention there!

Oh yeah got them mixed up ha. I definitely want the grand prize for the current contest, but it's a long shot with some very high hopes.
