 This is so tricky to tell what you may have already done to the light in the foreground, but it seems either through post PS work or another light scource that the light on the rock is not coming from the sunset. I'm not sure if darkening the darks and lighting the lights would help in the lower two thirds of the photo, because it may have already been pushed to the jpgs limits...
I mention it because it seems you have got enough info here to create a truly great photo...  great photo

  Wonderful..I miss the southwest lived there 18 yrs until 2001 Did not see these exact petro's but saw the ones in Canyon of the Gods and in New Mexico in the "Grants " area

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
