The incredibly delicate sand tufa on the shores of Mono Lake. These structures can crumple as easily as a sand castle. It is a wonder that they are still standing. I believe the rainbow in this photo is called a "sundog."

What an interesting combination of shadowy details up front and bright overcast twilight in the back. Those chaotic tufa formations certainly steal the spotlight, but it certainly wouldn't be the same photo without the crazy light and even exposure. Nice job. :)
