Eastern Sierra Sunrise by narmansk8 Eastern Sierra Sunrise by narmansk8
This was one of the most interesting displays of light I have ever witness. As this storm began its climb over the daunting Eastern Sierras the sun rose and created this magnificent display. This beautiful scene did not last long as within 30 minutes the mountains completely disappeared behind a wall of clouds.

As soon as you look into this frame you are instantly tripping!
I was happy to see a new Nolan submission into my queue, and I wasted no time and jumped into it.
Firstly I really enjoyed the centered framing, balancing the sky and reflection of it into the water, the exposure was carefully metered and the reflection remains in the boundaries it should.
The whole place is breathtaking, so it played its part into this composition, the light is probably (for my eyes) the strongest element of the composition, this is utter photographers gift, waiting for the light (stealing David Noton's famous book title), this is what every photographer patiently waits and what every photographer wants to capture.
