Taken on my Catalina Island backpack in Little Harbor. This was my favorite areas that we visited on our trip. I noticed this little cave while fishing on the "whales tail" rock formation. I was extremely fortunate that the low tide happened to be during the sunset. Otherwise I could not have even gotten into this cave nor have photographed the last light shining into the cave.
Just trying to get into this spot I almost slipped several times. After getting my tripod set up and taking a couple test exposures a large wave crashed into this area and completely soaked me from head to toe. I had to grab and my camera tuck it into my jacket to protect it from the oncoming wave. Thankfully i managed to only get a small amount of water on it and none on the lens.Buy this Print from Fine Art America
