Finals :( + Spring Cleaning

Journal Entry: Tue May 6, 2008, 7:29 PM
Oie! Finals. I think that all I have to say. :( Not goin to be able to spend much time here for the next couple weeks

SPRING IS IN THE AIR! Think its about time for some spring cleaning. I will be going through my gallery and removing some of my pictures to make way for new ones. I will also be doing some Re-uploading of past work with newer, more web optimized versions which i will post at the bottom of my journals from now on.

To all my fellow students out there- Good Luck!
and to the rest of you- have a fantastic weekend :)

So very sad and dissappointing. On my last trip we went back to canyonlands national park and on the last day there we hiked back to an ancient indian granary nestled in the side of a cliff that i had shot before as some of you may remember :

While we were goin down the trail we noticed that there were kids footprints all over the residual granaries before the main one. As we can to the main granary we saw this:

Very depressing indeed. And what might have caused this destruction of an artifact so rare and well preserved. PARENTS!!! That right PARENTS!!! PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY!!!!!

As we came to the granary we couldnt help but notice that the INSIDE of the granary was littered with childrens footprints. This event had to have happened within a couple days of us going there. So INSIDE the granary had numerous children footprints and underneath the rocks that formed the wall now laying on the ground were numerous children footprints.

So who detroyed this precious relic? PARENTS!!!!!!

Now I highlyt doubt that any of my fans here on dA receiving this journal need to here this, but this is a subject very close to me and i feel i need to say something about this.

Parents- WTF are you thinking letting your children climb in and out of an ancient granary in a NATIONAL PARK. I mean are you serious?
I do not blame the children directly for this destruction. If I was child i would want to play in them too. Im afraid the blame lies with IRRESPONSIBLE, DISRESPECTFUL Parents who let their children do as they please.

CONTROL YOUR DAMN KIDS! NATIONAL PARK ARE NOT PLAYGROUNDS!

So thank you IRRESPONSIBLE PARENTS for helping in destroying a part of human history, native american history, and an overall precious jewel of an ancient civilization.

Where is the park service when you need em?

Yeah I'm from Caldwell, but have been up here for three years. I really can't stand BSU, haha, my whole family has gone to Idaho, but I also have a bunch of friends down there. I love it up here. It's a great college town with a fun culture and plenty to keep me busy. A lot of photo oportunities as well!

Are you originally from Boise?

You're gallery is awesome. I especially like your work in the Sawtooths and the star trails. I've recently been working with star trails and it is frustrating but rewarding.

I came onto you profile through collectiveone who recognized a photo of mine from McCall.

Nice work.
